Rashid Yasin, FAS '12


Rashid graduated from Harvard College in 2012 with a BS in Engineering Sciences. After graduating, he received a master's at UCLA in mechanical engineering. He is currently at Vanderbilt University for his PhD in mechanical engineering, focusing on the development of medical robotics. When not studying, researching, or teaching, he enjoys cooking for his busy wife (Eftitan Akam; class of 2012) and reading too many articles on the internet.

Ana Nast, FAS '12


Ana studied biology and computer science at Harvard, and graduated in December 2012. She is planning on spending some time traveling and volunteering before going to medical school. In her now-ample spare time, she likes to play sports, do family history research, play computer games, and sew.

Wael Mourad, T.H. Chan School of Public Health '17

VP of Strategy

Wael graduated in 2017 from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public health with a master's in health care management. He currently serves as associate chief medical officer for a federally qualified community health center in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2009, he co-founded The Medina Clinic, a 501(c)(3) not for profit charitable medical clinic that serves the uninsured in the greater Kansas City area, where he sees patients on the weekend. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Sally and son Adam.

Zehra Naz, FAS '15

VP Communications

Zehra graduated from Harvard College in 2015 with a Computer Science degree and a secondary in Mind, Brain and Behavior. Since then, she has been living in the greater Seattle area, working as a Software Engineer at a tech company. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and exploring the greatness of outdoor life that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. During her time on board, she hopes to expand the HUMA membership and keep us connected.
